How retail properties are filled with life in prague

It is remarkable to look at the similarities and the differences of the art of how to decorate shop windows and retail floors within various European metropolises. On a recent trip to Prague, i took some pictures of store windows that might serves as suggestion or example concerning store design and which i don’t wish to withhold. The city center of prague is famed for its architecture, characterized by a huge quantity of beautiful medieval and art nouveau buildings. For professionals designing the interieur of retail stores and the resepective store windows, this brings along the challenge to combine modern approaches that are supporting sales with old architecture in a coherent way. As can be seen in the following pictures sometimes with more, sometimes with less success.

Stylized and plain-colored retail mannequins, a new trend that becomes widely accepted?

For many years, flesh colored mannequins were more or less the standard in the fashion industry. In the last few years, this seems to have changed considerably. Plain-colored and stylized mannequins seem to be the present trend for display, as these mannequins are widely on demand in many shops. In display windows they have often already replaced or supplemented traditional mannequins. The reason behind this now wide acceptance in regard to this mannequins is their unintrusive appearance, which usually won’t distract the customer from the goods and thus highlighting better the goods to be sold.

Shopfitting and Visual Merchandising Exhibition in Dubai

InRetail, by now the largest and most important trade fair for shopfittings and visual merchandising in the middle east, is taking place this year for the third time from the 14.-17. November in the Dubai World Trade Center. The main focus of the exhibition are, beside the presentation of several consultancy service providers focusing on the retail trade, yet again the display of high grade shopfittings for shopping centers, retail stores and supermarkets.
